It is such an incredible and exciting journey, after a 6 month......

As I sit down to write this entry, Yhoalibeth (she prefers her first name) and her mom Evelyn must be checking in at the LAN counter in Lima's Jorge Chavez International Airport. And in a few hours we will be picking her up at JFK. It is such an incredible and exciting journey, after a 6 month all out effort of so many friends and colleagues from Peru and the USA that finally this beautiful girl will have at least a chance to be examined, and hopefully operated and treated, by the best surgeons from Mt. Sinai Hospital. Half the battle is almost over, and counting...will keep all of you posted. I need to get a good night of rest. Thank you all. Dr. Jorge Won

  2. gracias sobrina, what a day, took them home to rest, then some home made soup, and some real fried won-ton. Then to the office for a complete eye exam, and photos. Even got an interview with Yaima Crespo, from Telemundo, and will be in the news tomorrow night at 6 pm.
